Me Nadine Parent

Me Nadine Parent graduated from Sherbrooke University in 2017 and was subsequently admitted to the Quebec Bar. During her studies, Ms. Parent articled with a law firm in New Orleans, gaining international experience. She then articled with CSG Avocats, where she has since practiced criminal, penal and juvenile law.

In parallel with her criminal law practice, Ms. Parent has developed an expertise in youth law, particularly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) and the Youth Protection Act (YPA). She represents her clients with dedication, whether in cases where adolescents are facing criminal charges, or where the Director of Youth Protection (DYP) is involved in her clients' lives.

Recognized for her knowledge of youth law, Ms. Parent represents her clients on a daily basis before the Court of Québec, Youth Division. Although she handles all types of cases under the YCJA, she particularly distinguishes herself in cases involving sexual offences, assault, threats and impaired driving. She represents her clients judiciously, while making it her duty to reassure them and transparently explain the issues at stake in their case.

In addition, Ms. Parent has developed a specialty in cases involving the DPJ. Her involvement begins even before the case goes to court, as she guides her clients through the various stages of the case, from reporting to the DPJ to going to court. She accompanies her clients throughout this difficult period, giving them all the tools they need to fully understand the legal, social and family issues involved in this type of case.

Ms. Parent has developed a specialty in compromised sexual abuse, separation disputes, domestic violence and drug addiction. She offers rigorous representation and ensures that her clients' rights are respected throughout the DPJ's intervention.
